Yet the current Government has a massive following in the more rural parts of Thailand which is were the majority of their votes come from, basically the PAD doesn't agree with the current Government and are demonstrating ( allegedly peaceably) saying they want the current government out and have been demanding his resignation.
Now while I'm sure these people feel whole hearted about their issues however in a Democracy there is a democratic process to be followed and this is not only illegal but undermines the democratic process as its a case of whoever shouts loudest, and no matter how relevant their issues maybe the route the have taken has undermined any respect i would have for them.
The police deploying tear gas before realising it was a bit heavy handed.

Update.
Apparently they are now lifting the sieges to some of the airports tomorrow morning, i just hope that when we go in 10 days all the trouble has calmed down and we can get on with seeing the beautiful country peacefully.
Itinerary for our trip is as follows, be aware there is a good chance this could change as we get there.
Destination 1.) Phuket a nice easy, Luxurious way to start our back packing tour.
Destination 2.) Cambodia, Siem Reap, viewing the temple of Angkor wat
Destination 3.) Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon.
Destination 4.) Ko-Phangan awesome Sunsets and great full moon beach parties.
Destination 5.) Bangkok, Busy busy Place
There will no doubt be far more destinations that end up in there depends who we meet how much fun we have where they are going etc really is gonna be where my feet take me kinda trip, and Internet access permitting i will be updating daily with both photos and comments.
